Why 48-Inch Post Boring Matters in Southern Ontario

Most fence failures in Oakville and Burlington occur because contractors cut corners by boring post holes only 30 to 36 inches deep. During harsh Canadian winters, groundwater expands as it freezes down to 42 inches, exerting enormous upward hydrostatic pressure that pushes shallow concrete footings right out of the soil.

We mandate a minimum 48-inch mechanical auger depth for every structural post. By setting our heavy-duty concrete plugs below the frost barrier, our fences remain laser-straight year after year.
